Shokudô’s private dining and events space brings the energy of a lively Japanese beer garden to Charleston. Perfect for birthdays, wedding welcome receptions, or any gathering worth celebrating, the space can host up to 36 guests for seated dinners or 75 for strolling receptions.

Set against the backdrop of an open-air tavern atmosphere, your guests will enjoy robata-grilled skewers, shareable plates, and crafted drinks designed for conversation and connection. Our team will create a family-style menu that brings the spirit of Japan’s beer gardens to life—without ever leaving King Street.

Buyout

For larger gatherings, Shokudô is available for full-restaurant buyouts. With a capacity for up to 120 guests, you’ll have exclusive access to our entire space, from our farmhouse-inspired dining room to our outdoor Japanese Beer Garden. Our team will work with you to craft a custom menu and experience, bringing to life the spirited energy and unforgettable flavors of Shokudô for your special event.
